Netflix’s new NFL booth is shaping up.
Former Panthers star Luke Kuechly is set to become the streamer’s No. 1 game analyst next season, according to a Tuesday report by The Athletic.
Kuechly, a seven-time Pro Bowl linebacker who will be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame next month, “showed immediate chemistry” with Noah Eagle, who is expected to be Netflix’s play-by-play voice, during an audition earlier this month, The Athletic’s Andrew Marchand reported.

They had previously used commentators from other networks, including Drew Brees, J.J. Watt and Greg Olson, among others, before landing on Kuechly for the full-time job.
The addition comes as Netflix is expanding its coverage of the NFL this season.
After broadcasting two Christmas Day games in each of the past two seasons, Netflix added the Week 1 game in Australia, a Thanksgiving Eve game and a Week 18 Saturday game to its slate this season.
With its Christmas Day deal set to continue through December, as its three-year deal enters its final season, Netflix will broadcast a total of five games this season.
Netflix will kick off its coverage with a Sept. 10 matchup between the Rams and 49ers in Melbourne, Australia with Eagle and Kuechly behind the mic.

Keuchly, who retired after the 2019 season, citing the effects of concussions, brings some broadcasting experience to the job.
He has served as a Panthers radio analyst since 2022, calling games alongside former Carolina quarterback Jake Delhomme and play-by-play announcer Anish Shroff.
Kuechly still will call 12 of Carolina’s games this season, according to the team.
Kuechly also appeared with Dan Orlovsky and Field Yates on two ESPN2 editions of “MNF Playbook with Next Gen Stats” late last season.
In February, he and longtime teammate J.J. Jansen launched the “JJ and Luke” podcast.
