St. John’s is adding reinforcements to its coaching staff.
The Johnnies are hiring Peyton Siva as an assistant coach, The Post’s Zach Braziller reported Saturday.
Siva, 35, has history with head coach Rick Pitino, having starred under him as a player while at Louisville from 2009-13, and he was on the Cardinals’ NCAA championship team in 2012-13.

He was drafted by the Pistons in the second round of the 2013 NBA Draft and spent just one season in the league before playing professionally for a decade overseas.
After his playing career, Siva re-joined Louisville as an assistant coach in 2024.

This move for the Johnnies comes two days after filling its vacant general manager position with former associate head coach Steve Masiello.
Masiello, who was already in the role for the past two months, will remain an assistant coach on Pitino’s staff.
