Looks like the Reagan family is still finding excuses to get together.
Will Estes is heading to Boston, where he’ll reprise his Blue Bloods role as Jamie Reagan on an upcoming episode of CBS’ Boston Blue, Deadline confirms. Donnie Wahlberg, who plays Jamie’s brother Danny Reagan, gave fans a first look at the reunion with a behind-the-scenes photo.
“Welcome (back) to the family! Jamie Reagan! AKA Will Estes!” Wahlberg wrote on his Instagram Story alongside the photo, which also featured Boston Blue stars Sonequa Martin-Green, Marcus Scribner and Mika Amonsen.
Estes’ appearance marks the latest Blue Bloods reunion on the spinoff, which premiered in October 2025 after the original series wrapped its 14-season run with its 2024 finale. Wahlberg carried Danny Reagan over to Boston Blue, where the longtime NYPD detective starts a new chapter after joining the Boston Police Department.
The show has also shaken things up for Danny’s family. Mika Amonsen took over as his son, Sean Reagan, replacing Andrew Terraciano, who played the character on Blue Bloods.
But Sean isn’t the only Reagan to make the trip. Bridget Moynahan has already reprised her role as Danny’s sister Erin Reagan, while Len Cariou returned as their grandfather, Henry Reagan. Will Hochman has also appeared as Danny’s nephew Joe Hill.
And now Jamie is joining them.
CBS renewed Boston Blue for a second season in December, with Season 2 set to premiere October 9. So, while the Reagan family dinner table may have officially disappeared with Blue Bloods, it’s becoming increasingly clear that the family reunion isn’t going anywhere.
At this rate, Boston might as well set another place.
