When Does ‘House of the Dragon’ Season 3 Episode 8 Come Out?

House of the Dragon Season 3 opened with the Battle of the Gullet, an epic naval engagement that pitted full fleets against each other and claimed the life of Prince Jacaerys (Harry Collett), and now looks poised to end with an even more brutal event from George R.R. Martin‘s Fire & Blood. House of the Dragon Season 3 Episode 8 will bring the harrowing (first) Battle of Tumbleton to life.

For most of House of the Dragon Season 3, we’ve watched as Lord Ormund Hightower (James Norton) held court in the market town of Tumbleton. Ormund seized the city, which is loyal to Rhaenyra (Emma D’Arcy), in an attempt to corner the dragon queen into an impossible position. The Blacks could easily attack the Hightower army in the city with their dragons, but lighting Tumbleton ablaze would also result in the massacre of innocents.

HBO‘s teaser for this week’s episode confirms that the Rivermen and Winter Wolves are finally descending upon Tumbleton, meaning it’s time for Rhaenrya’s armies to take the town by ground assault. Will that work? Or will Ormund’s gambit — wooing the unhappy Ulf the White (Tom Bennett) to his cause — create a nightmare for Daemon (Matt Smith) and the rest of the Blacks’ troops?

How will HBO’s version of the Battle of Tumbleton play out? Here’s everything you need to know about when the House of the Dragon Season 3 finale comes out…
