Marcellus Wiley is no longer facing domestic violence charges in Florida, and to celebrate, the former NFL star called his accuser and estranged wife, Annemarie, a liar in a scathing statement on his X page.
“The illusion is OVER,” the one-time Chargers Pro Bowler said just hours after Orange County, Fla. prosecutors revealed they were dropping their case against him.

“No more BS. No more deception. Just FACTS & EVIDENCE.”
Officials stated in a court filing on Monday that they were not moving forward with a case against Wiley because the evidence they received following his July 4 arrest was “not corroborated by any physical or other evidence and is therefore insufficient to obtain conviction.”
Wiley said their words proved his ex, a “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star, made up her claims against him.

“If the State found her allegations UNCORROBORATED by any physical or other evidence, and my own daughter says she wasn’t telling the truth, then the question is unavoidable: Why should ANYTHING ELSE she alleges be believed? (It shouldn’t),” he said.

Wiley then added a nose-growing emoji, before writing, “Believe real victims. Protect real victims. But remember: FALSE ALLEGATIONS HAVE REAL VICTIMS TOO. My name and character were attacked publicly. I’ll defend them publicly—with the TRUTH. LIES run sprints. TRUTH runs marathons. #mentoo.”
Wiley was taken into custody by police in Orlando on the Fourth of July after Annemarie alleged he put his finger on her face and threatened to kill her during a dispute inside of their hotel room.

Following the incident, Annemarie went to a Los Angeles County court and filed for a domestic violence restraining order and for divorce from Wiley, levying further allegations of abuse and sexual assault against the 51-year-old former football player.
Wiley vehemently denied all of Annemarie’s allegations, claiming at the time he had “videos, photographs, text messages, emails, and other evidence that directly” contradicted Annemarie’s words.
Wiley and Annemarie, who share three children together, had been with one another for over a decade prior to their split last month.
