A young man from California’s Thousand Oaks has become the latest “Jeopardy!” super champion after winning 10 games in a row.
Caleb Groen, a student of American law and policy at Harvard University, is the 23rd super champion of the quiz show and has accrued a whopping $346,968 over 12 games.
Groen first appeared on the show on July 2 this year and has already secured his spot in the season-ending Tournament of Champions. “It’s just been something very unexpected and a huge blessing,” he told ABC news.

He revealed his very safe plans for his winnings –– investing it in real estate and giving it to charity.
Groen is currently interning at a law firm in New York, and wants to buy a new bike for his time at Harvard.

“I have a bike in Cambridge and it’s been broken for a while… So definitely, I think, I put some money towards a new bike,” said the super champion, as reported by ABC News.
He added that “it’s kind of enough” for the down payment of a house and that buying a condo “would definitely be life-changing.”
Croen auditioned for the show’s college tournament in 2019 but had been preparing for his moment since a very young age. He started learning with LeapPad –– a tablet with educator-approved games, eBooks and creative toolswhen –– when he was less than 4 years old.

“By that age, I’d memorized the 50 capitals of the United States. So it began at an early age, definitely encouraged by my family and school and everything,” he said, the news outlet reported.
Long before he realised his passion for quizzes, young Groen was fascinated with garbage trucks and wanted to be a sanitation worker.
“We even had a garbage themed birthday party one year for my fifth birthday, I think, where we gave out party favors that were in the shape of little recycling cans,” the super champion told the news outlet.
The game show “Jeopardy!” originally debuted in 1964 and ran until 1975. Following brief returns in 1978 and 1979, the series was permanently revived in 1984. However, it wasn’t until September 2003 that the show officially lifted its five-game limit for consecutive victories.
