There officially is an ending to “sheetgate.”
If you have no idea what I’m referencing, I recommend you catch up on season 11 of Below Deck Mediterranean. Allow me to get you up to speed. Deckhand Luke Brumer was involved with two of his fellow crew members: Chef Joy Lefaucheur and Stew Gen Lillie. After he officially chose Lillie, the two went back to the cabin he shares with bosun Nathan Gallagher.
For some reason, the two decided to get intimate on Nathan’s bed. Let’s just say, Luke made his mark on Nathan’s sheets and failed to clean them. Disgusting!
Obviously, the truth behind the gross sheets Nathan had been sleeping on became a secret within the crew and eventually made its way to Nathan. It’s not hard to imagine why Nathan would completely turn cold towards Luke once he found out what he had done.
Episode 7 ended on a huge cliffhanger with Luke coming to Captain Sandy Yawn with his concerns over the shift in energy after Nathan was informed of his unhygienic living situation.
Tonight’s episode finally answered the question fans have been waiting for: Will Luke quit? Here’s everything we know about Luke’s future on Below Deck Mediterranean.
Did Luke Quit Below Deck Mediterranean Season 11?
Yes!
Episode 8, titled “He Came, They Saw, It’s Bonkers,” picks up at the cliffhanger. Luke elaborates more on why he feels its necessary for him to leave the yacht. In a surprising turn of events, Captain Sandy agrees with him and commends Luke for coming to this decision. She feels he took the mature route by bowing out of the charter season gracefully.
I, for one, am very excited to see the crew dynamic now that Luke’s gone. Justice for Joy!
Who will replace Luke as deckhand?
No one knows.
The remainder of the episode has Captain Sandy working herself to the bone trying to find another deckhand. Unfortunately, it seems no deckhand is free in time for the next charter.
In an exclusive interview with DECIDER, Lillie teased that the rest of the season would not disappoint and viewers could even see a recognizable yachtie (or two!) soon.
“There’s more drama in the interior. Things between Nathan and Joe on deck start getting heated again, There may be some familiar faces coming up, ” she added. “Maybe there’s a a drink thrown at the end of the season. You’ll have to watch and see!”

Captain Sandy assured us that fans will love the rest of the season.
In her interview with DECIDER, she discussed the long-awaited return of Hannah Ferrier after their infamous Season 5 fallout: “It was great to have her. Hannah did the first five seasons. She deserved to come back for a visit.”
Captain Sandy hinted we can expect Hannah to visit with this season’s crew: “Hannah and Aesha did a full charter season together, so they have remained friends. It was wonderful to have her back.”
