Nightmarish videos unearthed inside Eugene Horsch’s Philadelphia house of horrors confirm in “dark and graphic” detail that two missing women are dead, according to openly shocked cops.
“I’m not gonna get into exactly what I saw. It’s dark. It’s real dark,” Philadelphia Police Inspector Ray Evers told reporters Wednesday, according to WPVI.
The horrific footage came as investigators have sifted through 600,000 images, 70,000 videos and over 10,000 pages of drawings and writings — just 5% of the digital evidence seized in the investigation into Horsch, the 44-year-old felon son of the late notorious erotic photographer and filmmaker R.C. Horsch.

The footage shows two missing women — Maribel Fresses, who disappeared in 2018 at age 27, and Gabriella Amarando, who disappeared in 2012 at age 22 — dead, although their bodies have yet to be found, Evers said.
“[W]hat we saw is these two girls alive. There was a period of time, and what appears to us is that they’re deceased,” Evers said, stressing that “there’s pieces of the video that we don’t have yet.”
“Based on the video and photo evidence, if the images in the video are real and not altered in any way, based on their review, the [medical examiner] would believe the individuals depicted in the images are deceased.”

Still, the women cannot officially be declared dead — nor can anyone be charged with their deaths — because their bodies have not been found, Evers said, while adding that their families were notified.
“This is new territory for the homicide unit in Philadelphia. Usually, when we have a homicide investigation, we have a body, we have body parts. This time we do not,” he said.
Since June, police have secured 95 warrants involving Horsch’s contents and home, where investigators found a suspicious stockpile of chemicals, a 55-gallon drum, several urns, hidden compartments, guns and a creepy handwritten letter with references to Ted Bundy.
Police also recovered the trove of digital evidence from the property, which a forensic lab began reviewing this month.
The investigation was sparked when a US park ranger overheard an argument between Horsch and his girlfriend in a parked car near Independence Hall in Old City on June 19, police said.

Authorities intervened and found Horsch allegedly carrying a fake Drug Enforcement Administration badge, a switchblade, and two guns with the serial numbers scratched out, cops said.
Horsch’s girlfriend also had a fake ID with her photo on it — but with a name belonging to Blair Tonzelli, who has went missing in Kensington in 2023 when she was 35.
Investigators were then led to Horsch’s three-story home where they uncovered a vast stash of dangerous chemicals in the basement, a 55-gallon drum connected to water lines, and roughly 120 pieces of ballistics evidence.
A bank card with Tonzelli’s name and a death certificate for another woman who died last year were also found in the home.
Narcotics, as well as evidence that Horsch was allegedly trying to grow more drugs, were found inside as well.
Horsch — who neighbors described as a “psycho” — remains in custody on charges related to possessing firearms and counterfeit DEA and FBI credentials after the FBI raided his home.
As of Wednesday, authorities said he was not facing any new charges.
Dawson Fresses, Maribel’s brother, told NBC Philadelphia the discovery left him in “pure shock.”
“It’s been eight years since I’ve last seen her and it was just weird hearing that come about. I kind of got into this mode that I was never going to figure out what happened to her,” he said.
The house is also the last known location of R.C. Horch’s ex-wife Amy McHale, who vanished without a trace in 2016. The elder Horsch died last year.
Horsch has denied having anything to do with the missing women. He has racked up a 10-arrest rap sheet that included drug possession and dealing, assault and drunken driving, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.
