“Three years probation complete,” Taylor Frankie Paul wrote via Instagram Friday after a Utah judge ruled her probation stemming from a 2023 domestic violence arrest had successfully finished.
“All my PO’s said it was one of the longest probations they had seen for first time offense,” she added. “Back then I wasn’t even aware of what DV was. Unfortunately many will experience it as many already have,” referring to an alleged domestic violence incident with ex Dakota Mortensen, with whom she was involved with at the time.
Back in 2023, Paul pleaded guilty to assault as part of a plea deal, which allowed a dismissal of related child abuse charges. On Friday, Us Weekly confirmed that a judge downgraded her aggravated assault felony charge to a Class A misdemeanor, and that the “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” star was no longer on probation.
“DV is a sneaky cycle to get stuck in because by the time you realize what actually is happening you’re already stuck in it,” the reality star, 32, continued.

“I don’t care if you see me as the villain or victim. This all surfacing the way it viciously and vindictively did, has been hell on earth and if I didn’t have the support I have I don’t think I would have made it through.”
“However those same people not only get to see they failed to destroy me, but they freed me,” she concluded. “You can see who’s educated from the not… this has been by the textbook for millions to watch.”
Paul included a carousel of pics that appeared to be from her various court appearances.
A rep for Mortensen did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment on Saturday.
In March, shocking footage was released of the alleged altercation, in which Paul flung metal stools across a room with daughter Indy, now 8, nearby.

The reality star temporarily lost custody of son Ever, 2 — whom she shares with Mortensen — and a judge issued protective orders against both parties. Meanwhile, the debut of Paul’s season of “The Bachelorette” was cancelled by ABC.
Paul also shares Indy and son Ocean, 6, with ex-husband Tate Paul, who has also challenged previous custody arrangements in court.
After Paul was offered two separate custody proposals from Mortensen and ex-husband Tate earlier this summer — that would give her 40% custody — she “immediately” declined both offers, a source confirmed to Page Six.
The insider divulged that Taylor continues to be firmly committed to the best interest of her children.
The source claimed the reality star’s response to the offers was, “So now I’m suddenly capable of parenting 40% of the time? Couldn’t be more obvious what this is really about—and it isn’t the safety or well-being of our children.”

The insider claimed that the reality personality views Tate and Mortensen’s legal efforts as coordinated against her, and that she looks forward to defending herself in court and “can’t wait to witness them lose.”
“She is continuing to get things together,” the insider explained. “It’s unclear what’s going to happen yet with her season of ‘The Bachelorette,’ but she has been receiving a lot of support online from other women.”
Tate had previously filed for sole custody of the former couple’s shared children in June, though a judge reportedly promptly denied his request for a restraining order.
A source told People at the time that Taylor had “checked into a facility upon the recommendation of her doctor,” for a “voluntary” stay, adding that the TV star is “committed to getting better.”
