A drug-fueled West Virginia mom was arrested after she passed out and let her 6-year-old autistic son, who later tested positive for cocaine, jump out of a second-story apartment window.
Deputies responded to an apartment complex in Fairmont Monday after receiving a 911 call that a child had jumped out of a window from the second floor of an apartment building, WDTV reported.

The boy’s mother Stevie Thibodeaux, 30, told deputies that she was asleep when the child escaped.
Thibodeaux showed deputies the childproof locks on the doors which she said usually kept her child with autism from fleeing, court documents said.
However, cops noticed a screen was missing from the window the young boy had jumped out of.

After the child was taken to a local hospital for evaluation, he tested positive for cocaine, according to court documents obtained by the outlet.
When police searched the mother’s apartment they found a white plate with a food stamp card, a device to ingest drugs and a white powdery substance.
Thibodeaux was charged with child neglect creating risk of serious injury or death. wdtv
Investigators said Thibodeaux confessed to using cocaine and leaving the drug-packed plate in her closet.
The disgraced mother was charged with child neglect creating risk of serious injury or death and booked into the North Central Regional Jail.
The condition of the young boy remains unknown.
