If you don’t want to spoiled for new dinosaur movie in theaters, The End Of Oak Street, you better get yourself to the nearest movie theater ASAP.
Anne Hathaway and Ewan McGregor learn that lesson the hard way in The End of Oak Street, a new sci-fi thriller that opens in movie theaters this weekend. Written and directed by David Robert Mitchell (It Follows, Under the Silver Lake), the film stars Hathaway and McGregor as Denise and Greg Platt, loving parents of Audrey (Maisy Stella) and Brian (Christian Convery). But their perfect nuclear family is upended (literally!) when a mysterious cosmic events transports their suburban street to somewhere with prehistoric creatures. And yes, we do mean dinosaurs.
The film is produced by J.J. Abrams via his Bad Robot production company. Decider contributor Jesse Hassenger argues that this one is best seen on the big screen, but we know that’s not always possible. If you’re hoping to watch The End of Oak Street at home, then read on to find out what we know about when The End of Oak Street will be on digital and when The End of Oak Street will be on streaming.

Where to watch The End of Oak Street movie:
Right now, The End of Oak Street movie is only available to watch in a movie theater. You can find a showing near you via Fandango. However, we do expect the The End of Oak Street movie to be on streaming on HBO Max eventually.
When will The End of Oak Street movie be on digital to buy and rent?
You might see The End of Oak Street on digital around mid-September 2026.
The End of Oak Street is being distributed by Warner Bros., and with some exceptions, most mid-budget WB movies like this tend to release on premium video-on-demand about one month after they open in theaters. For The End of Oak Street, that would be around mid-September 2026.
When will The End of Oak Street movie be streaming on HBO Max?
You might see The End of Oak Street streaming on HBO Max later this year, around late October or early November 2026.
All the new WB theatrical movies end up streaming on Max, though the wait period has varied by title. The Bride, for example, was released on digital about one month after opening in theaters, and began streaming on HBO Max about two-and-a-half months after it was released in theaters. If The End of Oak Street follows a similar release pattern, you may see The End of Oak Street on digital around mid-September 2026, and streaming on HBO Max around late October or early November 2026. (Hopefully, in time for Halloween!)
If you’re new to HBO Max, you can sign up for as low as $10.99/month with ads, but an ad-free subscription will cost $18.49/month.
If you want to stream even more and save a few bucks a month while you’re at it, we recommend subscribing to one of the discounted Disney+ Bundles with Hulu and HBO Max. With ads, the bundle costs $19.99/month and without ads, $32.99/month.
But that’s pure speculation. The Warner Bros. home releases have varied by title. If you want to see The End of Oak Street right away, your best is to catch the movie in theaters.
