Since Ted Lasso Season 4 checks in with Ted back home in Kansas City three years after he left Richmond, it’s no surprise that we see him and his son Henry hanging out. In Ted Lasso Season 4, Henry is played by Grant Feely, a 14-year-old actor with nearly 15 IMDb credits, including popular television shows and films like Creepshow, Echoes, Panhandle, Space Blood, Chicago P.D., and more.
Before his role in Ted Lasso, Feely was well-known for roles as young Luke Skywalker in Obi-Wan Kenobi, Ghost Kid in the Five Nights at Freddy’s films, and Luke in Gunner. Prior to Grant Feely being recast as Henry Lasso, Gus Turner played Ted’s son in Season 1, Season 2, and Season 3. Before Ted Lasso, the now 12-year-old actor starred in Life After Life, and since the Apple TV comedy’s third season wrapped in 2023, he’s appeared in projects like Loki and Lord of the Flies, with an upcoming role as young Charles Trask in Netflix’s East of Eden.

Why Did Gus Turner Leave Ted Lasso? Why Was Gus Turner Recast?
As folks watch Ted Lasso Season 4 and notice a new actor playing Henry Lasso, they’ll likely be wondering why the role was recast. When Deadline reported the news back in March 2025, reps for Apple and Warner Bros. TV declined to comment on the search for a new star, but the publication noted, “A soccer fan throughout the first three seasons, Henry, now 12, has become a skilled soccer player himself.” We see Henry playing a bit in Episode 1, and Feely clearly has what it takes on the field (or the pitch). So here’s hoping we see more of Henry’s soccer skills as Season 4 progresses.
